O2 Germany is a cellular telephone service provider in Germany providing voice, text (SMS) and multi media service (MMS) services. Recently, a WAP Push SMS Service has been developed to bring in house the ability to send WAP Push messages, primarily as a marketing tool.
To bring the delivery of these messages in house, a scalable service to send WAP Push messages in volumes of 10 per sec was developed.
NCL's SwiftNote (SMSJDK) offered a scalable, flexible SMPP connectivity for O2 service.
